Researchers from the U.K.’s University of Bristol have found that children whose family diet is high in dairy foods can expect to live longer.

Researchers find consuming dairy, including dairy beverages, can extend life.

According to the university’s website, a 65-year follow up of a study into the eating habits of families carried out in the 1930s found that dairy products and a diet high in calcium made a difference to how long people lived.

The researchers found that those who had high dairy and calcium intakes as children had been protected against stroke and other causes of death.
