Rapid Salmonella test

Neogen Corporation has announced that its rapid test for Salmonella enteritidis (SE) has received approval from the U.S. National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP). The test kit is called Reveal, and is the only rapid test available for SE that follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s sample enrichment protocol and has received NPIP approval. The product offers commercial egg producers a quick, easy and accurate way to detect SE, without having to wait up to seven days for test results from an outside laboratory.
