ProMinent’s new DulcoFlow can offer direct measurement of metering pump pulsating flow

Guelph, Ont. – ProMinent Fluid Controls has introduced its newly developed flow meter DulcoFlow.

The company says it’s unique because for the first time pulsed flow and the amount of liquid that has been dispensed by each pump stroke can be reliably measured and monitored.

ProMinent developed this flow meter based on the ultrasonic measurement method. It measures all liquid media without any media contact.

Media contacting parts are manufactured using chemically resistant PVDF/PTFE. This ensures that aggressive media can also be measured without a problem. The instrument is installed directly in the discharge line of the metering pump with connections for 1/4″ – 3/16″ and 1/2″ – 7/8″ tubing.

Measuring principle
The principle behind the DulcoFlow is time of flight measurement. Operation without moving parts guarantees a long service life and wear-free operation.  The DulcoFlow measurement range is between 0.1 and 50 litres per hour.

Simple operation
A two-line display, status LEDs and membrane keys ensure simple operation. The actual flow or the totalized flow can be shown in litres or gallons on the LCD display. Likewise, the current pump stroke rate can be displayed.
