Beneo, a manufacturer of functional ingredients, has launched new products at Hi Europe in Spain.
The launches include:
• BeneoPro VWG, a wheat gluten, which can improve dough strength, viscoelasticity and water absorption in bread and pastries. It can offer increased crispiness and shelf life of batters, improved flake strength in cereals and reduced risk of breakages.
• Orafti L58 Organic, a fructo-oligosaccharide. L58 is produced from organic sugar and can be used as a prebiotic fibre to promote good digestive health. It can also be used to replace sugar in various dairy, bakery and cereal applications.
• The company’s natural solutions to sugar replacement. They include ISOMALT, Palatinose, inulin, oligofructose and Stevia.
