Miami, Fla. – Advantix Systems, a provider of dehumidification and cooling systems using liquid desiccant technology, has introduced the DuCool line of products for the food processing industry.
In food processing environments the new product line can help companies save over 40 per cent in cooling costs.
Food processing plants, especially those in humid climates, often struggle to maintain low humidity levels without using considerable amounts of energy. Air is either overcooled to reduce humidity and then reheated to comfortable working conditions. Or the plant installs a solid desiccant wheel that requires maintenance and uses more energy.
Advantix says with its liquid desiccant systems the humidity is treated more effectively, eliminating condensation issues or high-energy costs.
