Just in time for summer Dole has launched a new way to eat fruit – in Dole Resealable Fruit Pouches.
In a statement the company says the pouches are “perfect for occasions or places where you don’t have the luxury of your kitchen tools like picnics, office snacks and sporting events.”
Consumers can enjoy the pouches the same they “use canned fruit, to top cereals, use in smoothies, desserts or on-the-go straight out of the pouch,” says the company. The 382-mL size pouches are free of bisphenol A.
Dole says with the resealable pack format “there is no need to strain or transfer fruit to another container after opening.”
The pouches are found in the canned fruit aisle, and can be stored in a cupboard or refrigerated.
Dole Resealable Fruit Pouches are available in five flavours including Fruit Cocktail with Cherries (available packed in water), Sliced Peaches (available packed in water), Tropical Gold Pineapple Chunks, Mandarin Oranges, and Sliced Pears.
The pouches are available at most major grocery retailers across Canada at a suggested retail price of $2.99.
