A new beverage launched in Canada that should help to make consumers relax.

Called Tranquini, the company says it’s a relaxation drink that can help reduce stress and anxiety, and can stimulate mental clarity and focus.

The beverage contains herb extracts, including green tea with natural theanine, chamomile, lavender and lemon balm. The company says the beverage does not cause drowsiness.

Tranquini is also lightly carbonated with reduced sugar (30 per cent less than other sugar-based beverages) and contains no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.

Consumers can find Tranquini in 355-mL cans in four flavours: Mixed Berries, Green Tea Twist, Ginger Lemongrass and Hops & Malted Barley with a suggested retail price of between $3.49 and $3.99.

In Canada, Tranquini can be found in Loblaws stores across Canada, in Sobeys in Ontario and Atlantic Canada, as well as select convenience and gas station stores in Ontario.

The company was founded by Ahmed Elafifi and launched in 2015. Tranquini is currently found in 41 countries.
